I'm taking Keflex for an infection. It's in capsule form rather than regular pills. Every time I open the bottle to take one of the pills out, it smells like someone defecated in there. Is Keflex supposed to smell like feces?

The individual pills don't smell bad, but the whole bottle of pills smells terrible and makes me gag a little. I have to wait a few minutes between removing the pill from the bottle and actually taking it because I have to wait until the smell gets out of my nose. Did I get a bad batch or something? Don't feel nasty or gross. Every woman has different hormone levels and this controls the production of the vaginas mucus. Please don't think that it has to do with being aroused all the time, it doesn't. As for the bathroom check ups, give yourself some more time to get to know your period and what it feel like. Your still young and you haven't had it for awhile so it's going to be a little unstable, but you'll get it.

The period does not clean the vagina out. The mucus is to clean, protect and to moisten the area. Be thankful that you have too much rather than too little because to little can be very painful. It took me a long time to accept this, but I don't mind it so much.
